On 7-9 May Batumi hosted 3rd international travel fair “Batumi EXPO”. The exhibition is held under the initiative of the Department of Tourism and Resorts of Autonomous Republic of Adjara. It is organized by Calypso Travel. Supporters of the event are Department of Tourism and Resorts of Georgia, Batumi City Hall and Adjarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
     There were 110 companies from following countries presented at the exhibition: Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Ukraine, Turkey, Iran, Slovakia, Jordan and Latvia. “Batumi EXPO” hosted about 30 000 visitors during 3 days.
     The main topics of the exhibition were: incoming, cruise, regional and outgoing tourism. The program of the event was quite divers and interesting. Many participant companies gave presentations. Winners in different nominations were awarded with certificates.
